In 2021, our collaboration with Grain for a project with BASF led us to reimagine the auditory identity of the Infinergy Dress Shoes. Rooted in a minimalist ethos, each sound element was purposefully crafted to resonate with the sleek design and innovation embodied by this revolutionary footwear.
Initiating the auditory journey were “Whooshes,” symbolizing forward momentum and seamless movement. Subsequent layers, such as “Rubber Sounds,” grounded the wearer in tactile materiality, fostering a connection with simplicity.
“Textural Sounds” subtly enriched the soundscape, providing depth that echoed the sophisticated design of the Infinergy Dress Shoes. The infusion of “Synths, Drones & Braaams” contributed a touch of modernity, seamlessly aligning innovation with elegance.
Within this auditory landscape, “Music” emerged as a refined composition, adding richness without compromising the minimalist essence. The final crescendo arrived with the “Full Mix,” a harmonious blend that encapsulated the simplicity and grace at the core of BASF’s Infinergy Dress Shoes. This project epitomized the art of sonic minimalism, where each sound served as a purposeful brushstroke in crafting a distinct auditory identity for a groundbreaking product.
